you may want to see my female tarantula [link] :giggle: ... but still I prefer your shot more than mine. good job
I also keep bird-spiders. Soon I should download here more pics ;)
bird spiders :O_o: .. for real ????? omg :sprint:
I reguard Argiope bruennichi as one of the most beatiful spider in the Argiope genus, in the same family as this species there's the leaf curling spider Phonognatha graeffei (Ariopidae)
Oops sorry for typo I meant argiopidae
I've only met this specie (I was also looking for A. lobata when I was in southern Europe, but without success).

This is a great shot, I love the way you used a flash (or did you use a flash?) to get her alight against the darkness, it really makes her stand out. I have a similar Argiope photo, I was wondering if you could please take a look and if you possibly knew if it is her egg sack or food that she is guarding? [link] , if it's no trouble. I love your work!
Thanks :)

I'll try to get similar pics but without this "darkness". I think pictures look more natural when thwy've got vivid green color as the background.

I've checked your spider. This "stuff" is a remains of its last meal. Eggsack of Argiope spiders are very characteristic and look like this:
