Cool, it almost looks as if it's making a hockey goalie mask with its pedipalps. Digging those ocelot-style spots too, what a cool arachnid! Great shot!

The colors seem a lot brighter than the D. variegatus I've seen before, is that just because it's an immature one?

Yes. This is L1 stage. After next molt it should be much darker.

Dokładnie. Jeden z najnowszych nabytków na ostatniej giełdzie w Warszawie. Razem z nim doszła jeszcze modliszka, ptasznik i wij z Afryki.

oooh, pretty.. 8) that's a very cool way to use one's forelegs. :D

the similar colouration of the background and the arachnid (is this actually a spider?) is nice, but i think it could've been quite nice with a contrasting background as well.. it would've brought it out even more, and i think a cool creature like this should be brought out as much as possible. 8D

This is arachnid that belongs to order Amblypygi.

We choosed the same colour to show camouflage abilities of this animal. Here you can see it better hidden on the background:

We will work more with it... especially when it will grow larger :D

awesome! Where did you find this? In the wild? Or is it a pet? I just bought a damon diadema a few weeks ago and it is by far my favorite pet arachnid. They are so much fun to watch hunt!
