That's a great shot. Very clear and sharpen.
I recently bought the micro 105mm f/2.8 but macro photography seems harder than what I expected...

The worse problem is the light. If you solve it, life will be much easier ;) Check this:

With this stuff you can take macro shots with shutter speed 1/250 or shorter without tripod. And of course forgetabou using AF. It is better to get focus just by moving your camera closer or in oposite dirction to object.

Your diffuser is amazing.
The main difficulty that I've been feeling when using my macro lens is precisely to get a focused and correct exposure.
I use manual focus but a very small movement is enough to unfocused the shot... And most of the time, a tripod isn't very handy...
I think that I also need to buy an external flash...

Correctly chosen background and composition, appertures between f10-18 (sometimes f20-25). I think that are the most important things.
