Yes, they can be really fast and aggressive. In their environment their natural enemies are only birds and large lizards (except parasites and parasitoids).

Świetna fotka. I mimo, że to bądź co bądź pająk, sprawia sympatyczne wrażenie. Jak duży jest w rzeczywistości? (A tak przy okazji: czy do makro da się używać filtru polaryzującego żeby pozbyć się np. niechcianych odbić światła od liści, pancerza itp.?)

Dziękuję.

Pająk miał ok. 2 cm długości ciała, z 5 cm z nogami.
Jeśli chodzi o filtr, niestety nie wiem, nie eksperymentowałem jeszcze z takim filtrem (muszę go zresztą zakupić;). Światło rozpraszam dyfuzorem, choć przy bardzo odblaskowych obiektach może nawet to zawodzić.

Hmm... z tym filtrem polaryzacyjnym to mógłby być niegłupi pomysł. Przepalone zdjęcia bardzo często mi się nie trafiają, ale jednak.

I'm slightly afraid of them, but only after having bad experiences with the bites, I'm getting over my fear though, they are gorgeous animals, and I love to see them closer, and your photography helps with that, thank you for that :D

The only species which I met in my life and I'm still a bit afraid of are Poecilotheria theraphosid spiders. These guys are fast, nasty and really venomous. The worse thing is that they are very beautifull and I'm planning to get some to my collection :)

I'll try. Most of our species are really small. One of the largest - Trochosa is only 1,5 cm long.
